Wednesday, June 1st at 9:00-   The International seminar in memory of Enzo Bonaventura aims to deepen  his work and personality in its various aspects, as a scientist, a member of the Italian Zionism, a philosopher of Judaism and man of culture.

The initiative involves Italian and Israeli scholars of different disciplines: psychologists, psychoanalysts, historians, writers and cultural figures, including David Meghnagi (creator of the seminar, Director of the International Master on Holocaust Studies) Miriam Meghnagi (artist, ethnomusicologist and clinical psychologist), Abraham Yehoshua (writer), Gaby Shefler (director of the Sigmund Freud Center at the Hebrew University), Daniel Ashery (TAU astrophysicist, son of Enzo Bonaventura), Rachel Bonaventura Snir (clinical psychologist, granddaughter of Bonaventura)

Wednesday 1st, at 08:30 -   The conference on “Assistive and rehabilitation robotics” is aimed to disseminate the latest developments in robotics for assistance of elder people with disabilities. Innovative robotic technologies has the potential to improve the quality of life of elderly adults or person with a disability.The Conference provide a technical forum for the Italian and Israeli researchers, industrial practitioners to exchange ideas, share research findings, and discuss the various issues they encounter.

Two main topics will be represented and discussed: assistive robotics and rehabilitation robotics.

MEDICAL ROBOTICS

Wednesday 1st, at 09:30- The workshop will gather young Italian and Israeli researchers working on the behavioral and brain bases of economic psychology and judgment and decision making. The workshop aims at exploring the relationships between different levels of explanations and approaches to the study of economic psychology and judgment and decision making, in a period in which the disciplinary boundaries are blurred and new interdisciplinary efforts seem to have the potential to overcome the limitations of the traditional disciplinary approaches.

Tuesday 31st at 08:30 , wednesday 1st at 9:00- Researchers will present traditional basic and clinical research in combination with exact sciences, following the legacy of the late professor Ben-Jacob. Talks will demonstrate the incorporation of a spectrum of “omics” technologies and molecular imaging, to generate computational algorithms and quantitative models that shed light on mechanisms underlying the cancer process and predict response to intervention.

Wednesday 1st at 9:00 - A rare disease, also referred to as an orphan disease, is any disease that affects a small percentage of the population.

Most rare diseases are genetic, and thus are present throughout the person's entire life, even if symptoms do not immediately appear. Many rare diseases appear early in life, and about 30 percent of children with rare diseases will die before reaching their fifth birthday.

 

The workshop conference could be divided into 3 main parts:

  • Research (foresight frontline).

  • The role of patient associations, the charities and institutions.

  • Priivate research  and public-private partnerships, funding and collaborations.
